Char Dham Yatra – A Path to Moksha

Begin your sacred Char Dham Yatra by reaching Haridwar or Dehradun and proceeding towards Yamunotri, the first dham dedicated to Goddess Yamuna. Upon arrival at Janki Chatti, start the 6 km trek to the temple. After darshan and a holy dip in the warm waters of Surya Kund, return to Janki Chatti and stay overnight in Barkot.

Start early for Gangotri, the holy source of the River Ganga. Enjoy the scenic drive through Harsil Valley before reaching the temple. Take a dip in the sacred Bhagirathi River before offering prayers at the Gangotri Temple. After darshan, relax and stay overnight in Gangotri or nearby Uttarkashi.

Leave for Kedarnath, the most revered Jyotirlinga of Lord Shiva. Travel to Sonprayag, then take a local vehicle to Gaurikund. From there, begin the 16 km trek to the Kedarnath temple. Alternatively, you can opt for a pony, palki, or helicopter service. After darshan and experiencing the divine aura, stay overnight in Kedarnath or return to Guptkashi.

After breakfast, proceed towards Badrinath, the sacred abode of Lord Vishnu. En route, visit the beautiful Joshimath and Vishnuprayag. Upon reaching Badrinath, take a holy dip in Tapt Kund before visiting the Badrinath Temple. Spend some time at Mana Village, the last Indian village near the Indo-Tibetan border. Stay overnight in Badrinath.

Conclude your Char Dham Yatra by traveling back to Haridwar. En route, visit Rudraprayag and Devprayag, where the rivers meet to form the sacred Ganga. Upon reaching Haridwar, take part in the mesmerizing Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri, marking the perfect end to this spiritual journey.

This sacred pilgrimage to the Char Dham – Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath – is believed to cleanse the soul, grant divine blessings, and lead one on the path to Moksha.
